Elizabeth's first feeding...

Yesterday got a little bit hectic, so I didn't get to post these as quickly as I'd have liked to.

Since Elizabeth got to come off of her tube, she also got to have her first feeding. While the Porters and Kitchens were here to visit, Tammy, our nurse, asked if I'd like to try to feed her. It took a lot of thought for me to answer that, believe me.

She took to the bottle like a champ...she already eats like a Corbitt!

Our nurse was amazed at how quickly she took to the bottle. She gave her a little over .5 oz each feeding, a little bit more than they have to have because she didn't expect that she would take to it. Much to our surprise, she chugged the first bottle down in under 5 minutes.
