Everyone keeps asking us how the first couple of days has gone, well I guess Grayson's picture below can answer that question! My parents came over and watched the girls so we could go eat with Grayson and like usual he wanted Papacitas (always a family favorite) We were not even done eating and Grayson fell asleep on me! I don't think he has done that in over a year, but he had a big morning playing outside with his daddy!
Back to our first couple of days, I know once I say this that it is going to come back and haunt me, but they actually have not been bad at all! The girls were already on a schedule when we left the hospital and they are use to just being laid down to go to sleep so the is a definite blessing that came from them being in Shreveport. The really are laid back about everything else and only cry if they are really hungry before eating time (maybe it is because they are just now 36 weekers and have not woken up yet) or Elizabeth will wine if you pick up Olivia and leave her alone in her bed. Plus I have an amazing husband that did the midnight and 6a.m. feeding all alone and let me sleep! I also conquered one of my big fears that I had when pregnant, I figured out how to pick both of them up (while supporting two heads), feed, burp, and lay them back down without any help. So, all that to be said, it really has not been hard to go from one to three, but I also it is only a matter of time until I eat my words!
The first picture of me holding both of them at the same time, I could not do this when they were in the hospital
We continue to be amazed that they always find each other and always want to touch each other!
Picture of their preemie pj's we found at Walmart, I know they are boyish, but they fit and they were on clearance! They know they are girls!
Grayson loves holding his sisters and he actually asks for a different one each time!
Olivia smiling at Elizabeth tonight after dinner.
I'll leave you with a funny story about last night, you know in my post on Sunday I got one of the girls pictures mixed up on the blog and Drew kept giving me a hard time, well apparently at the midnight feeding he was telling Olivia what a good job she was doing eating and how well she was burping and then he went to change her diaper only to see the birthmark and realize that he had been feeding Elizabeth the entire time! I may have a hard time telling them apart in pictures, but not in person!
(Drew's note: In my defense, it was really late and really dark and I was really sleepy...and Elizabeth was eating loudly and took a long time to burp like Olivia usually does. Cut me some slack...)
