Dr checkup and a first

I was holding the girls tonight when Grayson got out of his bath and he climbed up and decided to cuddle with us

Today the girls had their appointment with our Doctor here. We were anxious to see how he thought they were doing and how much weight they had gain.

Elizabeth was 5lbs 2oz at birth and down to 4lbs 13oz when we came home on Wednesday, today she weighed in at 5lbs 9oz! She does have a red birthmark on her stomach that the doctor at Children's suggested we have removed with a Lazar, but our Dr here thinks that it will disappear or if not we will do it in a few months. He said she looked good and he would see her in two weeks for another weight check.

Ms Olivia was 5lbs 10oz at birth, 5lbs 4oz on Wednesday and 5lbs 13oz today! She still has a very slight heart murmur that he will keep checking, her right eye also starting matting yesterday and might be a clogged duct like Grayson had for several months, it is just sad when she can only open one eye! She will have a follow up eye exam (she was still on the oxygen in the nose when she had hers so they have to recheck it), but other than that she will go back in two weeks.

We asked about the RSV shot and he said that we would start the paperwork for insurance to see if they would pay for it (if not it is really really expensive), but he did not seemed to be concerned if they did not get another one. He says there has not been a case of RSV in the hospitals here in town in over a month and is not sure they will need one in March, but defiantly not in April.

We still have to be careful with them, just because we don't want them to be sick the first two months, but we can get them out to go to a few places, we will just take it day to day and continue to sanitize before holding them! Here they are at the Dr's office, you can tell they don't really care.

The most interesting thing that we learned at the doctor that just because one is O+ and the other O- they can still be identical! The nurse in Shreveport said because they were different they were fraternal, but our Dr says we will watch them and see. So now we are back to being confused about this twin thing!
We also had our first baths tonight since they lost their umbilical cord! Here is Olivia all bundled up
And laying in the bath tub!
I don't guess she wanted her picture taken
Elizabeth in her towel after bath time
She is not sure if she likes it or not, just knows she does not hate it!
