Well late last night Olivia had been fussy for awhile so we tried to put her in her swing, but after a little while she was screaming and when Drew went to check on her she had blood coming out of both her eyes running down her face. So we decided we would make a trip to the ER. A few hours and later they had no real explanation of what happened. The nurse did say the blood could of been from us using the aspirator on her nose and just traveled up to her eyes? They did test her for RSV since she has been a little stopped up and it came back negative. So they said she probably just has a viral cold (or it could be sinus and allergies like the rest of us). I don't think that Drew and I are overly cautious with our children, but what parent would not freak out a little if blood was coming from their newborns eyes. Especially given her history in the NICU , but everyone that looked at her acted like we were idiots for bringing her to the ER for that. Drew even said he never paid so much for so many people to look at him like an idiot! But other than no sleep everything is normal again. We were reminded why we live so close to my parents. It took less than 10 minutes to get to our house to take care of Elizabeth and be her for Grayson.
Here is a picture of Olivia sleeping in her hospital bed. She was really concerned about it!
