So I have not finished our birthday post, so here are a couple of pictures to satisfy you until then!
The good news is we are no longer preemie! We do still have preemie lungs for the next year, but that just means we still need to be careful about sickness.
Elizabeth
Lizzie came home from the NICU weighing less than 5 pounds and she now weighs 20! She is walking better and better everyday and now tries to walk before crawling. She woke up the day after her birthday and decided she will be a little dare devil and scare me many times a day. Oh Lizzie, I know you are going to test me to the max so I better just get ready for the challenge! She has been a little harder giving up her bottle because she likes her schedule and habit, but really has done awesome. She will eat anything I put in front of her and she will eat until I take it away from her and then cries for more. One thing she has figured out is how to escape from the "cage" (as Grayson calls it), she pulls a toy over to use to climb on and then lunges over the ottoman to escape. She loves her brother and lights up when he comes in a room. She loves to sit in his lap and share his chair in the living room and loves to steal toys from Olivia and run. It really is so fun to see her little personality develop.
Olivia
Olivia came home from the NICU weighing in at 5lbs 2oz and now weighs 18 pounds! She is my content child, which is why she is not interested at all at trying to walk. She is fine crawling where she needs to go. She has learned how to pitch a fit when things don't go her way especially when Lizzie takes a toy from her and runs away. She is still like her mommy and loves her sleep! She loves to take LONG naps and sleep late in the morning, she is a night owl like me so I think we will be spending lots of time together as she gets older at night. She has done great with giving up the bottle (they still get one right before bed, but that is over this week), and loves her bananas! She does well with eating any table food as well, but when she gets full she starts throwing every few bites on the floor. She loves Grayson as well and plays with him especially in the car. She still has an "unhealthy" attachment to my mom, but has also started crying when I leave her with anyone else. (except at my moms) I love to watch her play, her favorite thing is to climb in to chairs, she is so proud of her self every time. I am enjoying watching her personality develop as well, she is so different from Lizzie, but its fun trying to predict what they will be like!
We have had a long week this week because none of the kids have been sleeping! I thought maybe we were just developing bad sleeping habits, so I was a little relieved today when I found out that all 3 had ear infections. I hate that they have them, but am glad to figure out why we are not sleeping!
I love Graysons face in this one, he HATES when his sisters are upset and cry! All week he would say "don't cry pretty it's your birthday"
They actually got into opening thier gifts!
