Happy Birthday Grammy!

Today we celebrated my moms birthday, me and the girls went to lunch and spent the day with her and tonight everyone (well not the girls, mommy needed a break) went to Outback to celebrate and then to the house for cake and presents. Some of my fondest memories as a child is going to my grandparents house anytime someone in our family had a birthday. We would have dinner, eat that person's favorite cake and open presents to celebrate that special day! It always made your birthday that much more special! My mom always did the same for us, we always had balloons and a banner on the fireplace with so many presents you thought it was Christmas morning. Everything was about you and your day, you picked the cake and you picked what was for dinner. I am trying to do the same for my kids so they feel just as special as I did every year and although we don't have my grandparents to help make our day special I know they would be proud that we are trying to carry on a tradition that they started! So happy birthday Grammy! I hope your day was even more special than you had hoped and just know that there is no way we could make it at our house without the help and encouragement you offer to us every single day!
