Leaps and Bounds

Here they are in their new bed together

Elizabeth saying her prayers

Olivia enjoying her new bed and freedom from tubes

Elizabeth all snuggled up
I took this picture to try and show how much they really do look alike
This one is Olivia in the same position

I think Elizabeth looks very happy to be sharing a bed with her little sister!

On the way over  Shreveport my mom was talking about how she feels like one day soon the girls will just kind of wake up and make huge strides towards coming home, little did she know that today would be the day!  When we arrived to Shreveport I was washing up and had decided I would let my mom feed Elizabeth while I fed Olivia (we were only able to hold her while she eats because of jaundice), when I got to Olivia's bed her nurse was taking her nose air off and her feeding tube.  She said they were going to try only giving her bottles today and try to keep her air off.  Well Olivia made HUGE strides today, she passed her hearing test, gained 4oz in 24 hours (she now weighs 5lbs 8oz), received her HEP B shot, took 60ML at each feeding from a bottle AND went all day without her nose air without having a dip!  BUT most importantly she moved to the GROWER section and now is sharing a bed with her sister!

Elizabeth is doing well to (I really think she has slowed up a bit to wait on her sister) she gained half an ounce (still a little under 5 pounds), took all her feedings last night and today (50ml), also received her HEP B shot and went without a spell.  From the pictures she looked happy to finally have her sister close again.

I'm waiting for our pictures to upload to Walgreens so when that is done I will post some on here!
