Mommy has hit a wall!

Today was by far the longest day of the past week. It seemed that all the lack of sleep has finally caught up with me. My mom and I have been getting up every morning and leaving for Shreveport by 7 so I can give Elizabeth her 9:00 feeding and by the time we spend time with each girl and get home to Grayson it is late everyday. So with that said I am taking a break on Saturday afternoon and Sunday to stay home and catch up on some sleep.

Today the girls seemed to be doing about the same. I told Elizabeth she was going to get her first spanking because she won't quit having her little spells so she can come home, but I think she is just buying her sister some time so they can come home together. Elizabeth went all day without a spell so I guess she listened to me. The nurse says she is doing great, just needs some time to grow.

Today I was able to hold Olivia for over a hour! She was asleep most of the time, but it did not matter. Hopefully now that she is getting some one on one time she will loose her attitude and start coming off her stuff. She was suppose to get her IV out today because they said she did not need it anymore, she also stayed at 5lbs 4oz (she did not loose any). AND she took her first bottle and did well they said so hopefully she will loose the feeding tube this weekend. We did not stay as long today because Olivia's nurse got a 26 weeker while we were there and it was crazy so we got out of the way, plus I know they need some time in their beds to rest.

Tomorrow Drew and I are going over (finally for the first time together) to spend some time holding them and we have to take a class before they will discharge them to me. Grayson will stay with my mom and hopefully have a good day! There is no possible way we would have made it through this week without my parents taking care of me and Grayson, driving me everywhere and feeding us.

I went to the doctor today to have my staples removed and was released to drive so hopefully that will make things a little easier, although I still have 5 more weeks of not picking up Grayson.

Both girls did not have their head sono today (due to the craziness in the NICU) so hopefully they will get that done tomorrow, Olivia is to have her eye test and Elizabeth just needs to go spell free. Also please pray for Grayson, he is very confused and tired and has never spent this much time away from me, so pray that his life stays as consistent as possible right now. He is looking forward to seeing his sisters on Saturday!

I am glad everything is going so well with the girls. I will keep praying for them soon. I know it will be nice to have them home. I know it much be hard for sweet Grayson too but hopefully things will go back to semi-normal soon.
